They say a great wine is the result of a thousand small decisions from field to winery, but those decisions are often judged by the beholder of the glass. There is both an art and a science to winemaking – we plan on exploring it at the laboratory bench!
This February, join our wine educator and Senior Wine Production Intern for an adventure in art and controlled chaos. We are bringing four of our unreleased wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot) for you to sample and experiment with your own blend of a Washington red wine. Will it be fruit-forward or dark and brooding? You will get to decide.
This mad scientist experiment will start with some education on the wines available and what makes for a memorable blend. Then we will all experiment. At the end, we will share and try the wines. Participants will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase their blend or any of the other WIT wine blends that are made during the class. Those buying bottles will also get a chance to customize the labels to mark the experience or a special event.
The education series features wine tasting experiences at every event, and some events feature limited food pairings. Come join our community!
