2017 WIT Cellars Petit Verdot
The feast of reason and the flow of soul brought us to the Yakima Valley Appelation to source Petit Verdot of exceptional quality, from Olsen Vineyards. Olsen's Petit Verdot grapes are characterized by depth and breadth. This Petit Verdot stands alone, but is often used, as the bones in world class blends. Intense flavors of cherry and berries combine with firm tannins and inky blackness taht will stain your soul.
Winemaker notes: This beautifully floral nose greets you with hibiscus, cranberry and passion flower tea. First sip shows off sweet cherry and blackberry flavors that are integrated with delicate herbal notes and hints of black olive. In teh finish you will find subtle undertone of rose-hip and quince jam. This Petit Verdot is sourced from Olsen Vineyards Block 23, located high on the Roza, North of Benton City. This Vineyard is ideally located, witha South facing slope and high elevation, to maximize sun exposure and air drainage.
